THE PRODUCT

Primero Hash is a Moroccan-inspired CBD hashish, made following the tradition of the "primero" — the term used in Spain and southern Europe for first-quality hashish, obtained from the first and finest sifting of cannabis pollen. The name is a direct tribute to the Iberian and North African tradition of artisanal hashish, where the "primero" or "primer tamiz" is the product of absolute excellence, made exclusively from the plant's most mature and resinous trichomes. Made from CBD cannabis flowers grown indoors in Italy, Primero Hash is obtained through a cold-sifting process that separates the first-quality trichomes from the plant material, which are then worked and pressed into small bricks following the traditional Moroccan technique. THE PRODUCTION PROCESS

The production of Primero Hash is divided into two distinct and complementary phases inspired by the Moroccan tradition of the Rif, the mountainous region of northern Morocco that has been considered for centuries the world capital of quality hashish. In the first phase, dried CBD cannabis flowers undergo cold mechanical sifting on first-selection micrometric mesh screens: only the largest, most mature and most resin-rich trichomes — those that fall first through the finest mesh — are collected for the production of Primero. This first-quality pollen then goes through the second phase: traditional pressing, in which the trichome powder is gathered in cloth and pressed with moderate, controlled heat, which partially melts the resins and blends them into a compact, uniform and elastic block. Temperature and pressure are carefully dosed to activate the resins without degrading the more volatile terpenes, striking the perfect balance between the aromatic concentration of raw pollen and the complexity of worked hashish.

APPEARANCE

Primero Hash comes in the classic shape of the pressed Moroccan brick: a compact, regular block whose colour ranges from golden beige to light brown on the surface, with a green-brown interior revealed when cut — a much lighter colour than hand-worked hashish such as Nepal, directly attributable to the purity of the raw material and the cold-pressing process that preserves the original pigments of the trichomes. The consistency is compact and slightly hard at room temperature, but it quickly softens with the warmth of the hands, becoming malleable and easy to shape. The outer surface sometimes shows a thin darker patina caused by the surface oxidation of the trichomes, which gives way to the lighter, brighter colour of the interior when cut. The aroma released when cut is immediate and characteristic, with that warm, spicy note that distinguishes first-quality pressed hashish from any other product in the category.

AROMA

The aromatic profile of Primero Hash is one of its most distinctive and appreciated features: warm, spicy and complex, with a subtle sweetness that makes it immediately recognisable as first-selection hashish. The dominant notes are those of traditional Moroccan hashish — warm spices, white pepper, nutmeg and turmeric — blending with resinous hints of pine, cedar wood and sandalwood in an enveloping, oriental bouquet. Pressing with moderate heat generates Maillard reactions in the resins that enrich the profile with toasted and caramelised notes, recalling quality blond tobacco and dark chocolate. In the background, fresh herbal nuances inherited from the CBD raw material emerge, with light floral hints and a honey sweetness that lightens and balances the spicy complexity. The aromatic persistence is long and enveloping, with a warm, spicy aftertaste that evolves pleasantly over time, revealing ever deeper nuances.

The term "primero" has its roots in the hashish culture of the western Mediterranean basin, where Spain and Morocco have developed over the centuries one of the richest and most elaborate hashish consumption and production traditions in the world. Morocco, and in particular the Rif region in the province of Ketama, is historically the world's leading producer of hashish, with a tradition dating back at least to the 15th century. The word "primero" — Spanish for "first" — entered the hashish vocabulary through the trade routes connecting Morocco to Spain, indicating the first-selection product, the one obtained from the first pass over the finest sieve, considered the purest and most aromatic. This classification by quality — primero, segundo, tercero — reflects the attention and respect that the Moroccan tradition reserves for artisanal processing, where each pass through screens of different grades produces a product with unique characteristics.
