Zkittlez is one of the most beloved indica-dominant varieties of recent years, famous worldwide for its remarkably sweet and fruity aromatic profile, inspired by the famous multicoloured candies it is named after. Born in California thanks to the 3rd Gen Family collective in collaboration with Terp Hogz, it is the result of the cross between Grape Ape — a variety with intense notes of grape and berries — and Grapefruit, which contributes its tropical and citrusy nuances. Small Buds are the selection of the plant's smallest flowers — small, compact tops with a diameter of less than one centimetre — obtained from the same high-quality indoor cultivation that produces the standard-size flowers. The difference is solely one of size, the result of a manual sorting process that carefully separates the smallest flowers — those found in the inner and lateral areas of the plant, less exposed to light — from the larger apical ones. APPEARANCE

Small Bud Zkittlez comes as small, compact and spherical buds, with a diameter ranging from a few millimetres to about one centimetre, characterised by the same dense, resinous structure as the large tops of the same variety. The colour is a fascinating mosaic of intense green and aqua green, with unusual purple and blue shades in the cooler areas, enriched by bright orange pistils emerging from among the leaves. The trichome coverage is abundant and visible even in these reduced sizes, making every small top sparkling and precious. The compact structure of the small buds means that the resin density per unit of surface is particularly high, contributing to a concentrated, intense aromatic profile. Each batch is hand-selected and trimmed to guarantee uniform size and consistent quality.

AROMA

The aromatic profile of Small Bud Zkittlez is identical to that of the large tops of the same variety: a true explosion of mixed fruit that brings to mind a high-quality fruit candy. The dominant notes are those of grape, berries and ripe mango, with nuances of strawberry, watermelon and tropical citrus layering into a complex, joyful bouquet. In the background emerges an almost caramelised sugary sweetness, which makes the olfactory profile of this strain unmistakably pleasant and accessible. The distinction between large tops and small buds takes place exclusively at harvest and post-harvest, through a careful manual sorting process that separates the flowers by size, guaranteeing uniform batches. The small buds are treated with the same care as the large-format tops: slow drying in controlled environments, proper curing to fully develop the aromatic profile, and final hand selection to remove any impurities or excess foliage. The result is a product that offers the same quality experience as the standard tops in a different format, at a more affordable price.
