The story of Sour Diesel begins in the early 1990s in the underground scene of New York and New Jersey, where a clone of Chemdawg 91 — already legendary for its pungent, chemical aroma — was crossed with Super Skunk seeds from the Netherlands. The result was a sativa strain of extraordinary aromatic power that quickly spread along the whole American East Coast, becoming within a few years one of the most sought-after and counterfeited strains on the market. Sour Diesel reached the West Coast in the 2000s, winning over Californian palates used to sweeter, fruitier genetics, and from there it expanded into Europe. Today it is considered a milestone in the history of cannabis, the mother and inspiration of dozens of derived strains, and its CBD version is among the most appreciated by consumers looking for a product with a strong, authentic character.
