The result was an extraordinary strain that combines the complexity and liveliness of the great Hazes with the explosive freshness of lemon, giving rise to an immediately recognisable and much-loved aromatic profile. Since its first appearance on the European scene, Super Lemon Haze has won top-level awards, taking the Amsterdam Cannabis Cup two years in a row, in 2008 and 2009. In the CBD version it keeps its citrusy, lively character intact, with a THC content within the legal limits, becoming one of the most appreciated choices on the European CBD scene.

THE APPEARANCE

The flowers of Super Lemon Haze CBD fully reflect the sativa nature of the strain: the buds are elongated, airy and generously sized, with the open structure typical of the great Hazes that lets the golden-orange pistils show, evenly distributed among the leaves. The colour is a light, luminous green with yellow-lime highlights that visually recall the freshness of the lemon the strain is named after. Super Lemon Haze is a variety that demands skill and dedication: its flowering cycle is long, typical of Haze-derived sativa genetics, and the plants tend to grow tall, requiring canopy management techniques to optimise yield. Cultivation takes place without pesticides or chemical fertilisers, in full respect of the highest organic standards. The flowers are harvested at peak maturity, dried slowly in temperature- and humidity-controlled rooms, and hand-selected before final packaging.

THE ORIGINS

Super Lemon Haze was born in Amsterdam in the laboratories of Green House Seeds, the famous seed bank founded by Arjan Roskam and Franco Loja — two legendary figures in the history of modern cannabis, also known for their "Strain Hunters" documentaries that took them around the world in search of rare and native genetics. Arjan crossed his already award-winning Super Silver Haze with Lemon Skunk, a variety known for its exceptional limonene production, obtaining a hybrid that exceeded every aromatic expectation. Super Lemon Haze made its debut at the Amsterdam Cannabis Cup in 2008, immediately taking first place and repeating the feat the following year, a result that cemented its reputation worldwide. From the Dutch scene it spread quickly across Europe, where CBD growers enthusiastically adopted the genetic, appreciating its ability to produce flowers with a unique, immediately recognisable terpene profile.
