THE APPEARANCE

The flowers of Zkittlez CBD are among the most spectacular on the market: the buds are compact and medium-sized, with a dense structure rich in crystalline trichomes that catch the light, giving the buds a shiny, precious look. This genetic is grown in a fully controlled indoor environment, where environmental conditions are optimised to enhance the production of terpenes — responsible for the strain's characteristic fruity profile. Zkittlez is a variety that responds very well to advanced cultivation techniques: careful temperature management, especially in the final stages of flowering with slight night-time drops, promotes the development of the purple tones that make the flowers visually spectacular. Cultivation takes place without pesticides or chemical fertilisers, in respect of the highest organic standards. The flowers are harvested at peak trichome maturity, dried slowly and hand-selected to guarantee the highest quality in every batch.

THE ORIGINS

Zkittlez was born in California around 2012, when the San Francisco-based collective 3rd Gen Family began working on an ambitious project: creating a variety that faithfully replicated the aroma of the iconic Skittles candies. The result of the cross between Grape Ape and Grapefruit exceeded every expectation, giving rise to a strain that immediately stood out for its unprecedented aromatic sweetness. Zkittlez made its debut at the Californian Cannabis Cups between 2015 and 2016, taking first place in several categories and quickly establishing itself as one of the most sought-after strains on the American West Coast. From California it spread to Europe, where CBD growers adopted the genetic, appreciating its ability to produce aromatically extraordinary and visually unique flowers, today among the most sought-after on the legal market.
